WINTER 2025 SEASON DETAILS:
Preseason Clinic: Monday 12/9/2024
Time: 6:00pm or 7:00pm
Preseason clinic will be facilitated by Bentley University Women’s Basketball.
Each registered player will be assigned to attend the 6pm or 7pm clinic session.
Season Starts: Tuesday 1/14/2025
Season Ends: Saturday 3/15/2025
Season Fee: $160/player*

About Biddy Basketball
WBGC Biddy Basketball is an 8-week instructional program in which participants will learn the fundamental techniques, skills and rules of basketball in a fun, team environment.
The focus of this program is on technical development and building confidence with the ball. This co-ed program is open to Boys and Girls in Grades 2 & 3. All registered players will be assigned to a team, with all practices and games taking place in the WBGC gymnasium.
NEW FOR 2025: WBGC is exploring the possibility of offering a Girls Division within the Winter 2025 Biddy Basketball program, providing 2nd and 3rd grade girls with the option to participate in weekly practices and games ONLY for girls.
Our ability to offer a Girls Division will be dependent upon demand for this option from registered players. If there is not a critical mass of girls who want this option, all players will participate in the co-ed program as normal. Please register your interest in a Girls Division by selecting this option during the registration process.
PROGRAM FORMAT:
Teams will have 1 x 60 minute midweek practice per week (led by parent volunteer coach/es) followed by 1 game each Saturday during the season.
Practices will take place on Tuesday OR Thursday evening at 6:00 PM OR 7:00 PM. Each team will be assigned their recurring weekly practice slot once teams have been formed after completion of the Preseason Clinic.
Games will take place on Saturday mornings with games scheduled at one of the following time slots – 9:00 AM/10:00 AM/11:00 AM/12:00 PM. The full season game schedule will be provided once all rosters have been set. All players will receive a colored t-shirt which will act as their uniform for games.
Coaching:
Coaching will be provided by volunteer parent/guardian coaches (see below). Our aim is to create balanced team rosters across the program to ensure games are as much fun as possible for all participants. Note that team standings will NOT be kept in line with the program philosophy of focusing on development rather than competition.
