We are in our 41st year of providing programs and activities to the youth of Watertown and surrounding communities.
Funding our programs, such as Biddy Basketball, youth member swim, homework help, Swim Team, computer lab, field trips, games room and gym drop-in programs and more, is a year-round endeavor and it all takes money to keep going. In an effort to help fund our work, we run three major fundraisers each year.
Our Annual Spring Dinner and Auction is our second largest fundraiser of the year and will be held this year on Thursday, May 8th, 2014 (same date as last year) at the Oakley Country Club. This is a fun evening with a great dinner served with dessert and followed by a lively auction. This event is an opportunity for our Board of Directors as well as the community at large to come out and support the Club in a relaxed, fun atmosphere.
Could you do one of the following to support our event?
Please contact the Club with any questions you may have and we hope to see you there!
For over 20 years, the DiSilva Family has been the Major Sponsor of this very important event.
Stephen Mugar was one of the original founding members of our Club and his children chose to perpetuate his memory by sponsoring this annual memorial event. Our deepest thanks go out to David and Carolyn Mugar and their children for continuing to support this vital fundraising tournament.
The Stephen P. Mugar Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, August 12, 2013 at the Oakley Country Club. This is the Club’s largest fundraiser and the net profit of the Tournament is matched by the Mugar family. The combined monies account for almost one-third of our annual budget and help us to continue to provide much-needed programs and services to the youth of Watertown and the surrounding area.
The Watertown Boys and Girls Club is deeply appreciative of the Mugar Family for all of their continued support over the years.
Our Annual 5K Benefit Road Race will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2013. The race kicks off at 10am in front of the Club and winds its way through the streets of Watertown ending in our parking lot. Prizes, music, refreshments (great beef stew and chili) and raffle prizes for registered runners are available immediately following the race.
Registration forms will be available 4-6 weeks prior to the race date.
